Job summary

Manpower UK, Leicester, is recruiting a Maintenance Technician to own maintenance across a leading manufacturing and R&D site. Salary up to £50,000 per annum, hours Monday to Friday 08:30am–5:00pm, based in Leicester.

You will manage PPMs, respond to equipment faults, improve schedules and lead root-cause investigations while ensuring health and safety compliance and effective collaboration with contractors.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Maintenance Technician in manufacturing or industrial environments.
• Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled maintenance experience.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with PPM systems and maintenance schedules.
• Knowledge of engineering health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and manage priorities.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) programme.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns, fault-finding and carry out repairs.
• Improve maintenance schedules to maximise reliability and uptime.
• Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Manage contractors and external service providers.
• Control spare parts and maintenance inventory.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Promote best practice in health, safety and compliance.
