Job summary

Maintech Recruitment Ltd in Leicester is seeking two Maintenance Engineers to bolster the engineering team. You will look after CNC machines, tooling and robot cells, performing proactive and reactive maintenance in a hands-on, varied environment.

Qualifications

• Apprentice trained or qualified to Level 3 in Engineering (electrical or mechanical).
• Solid maintenance experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience with CNC machinery and controls such as Siemens, Heidenhain or Fanuc.
• Good knowledge of drives, pneumatics and hydraulics, with strong fault-finding skills.
• Desirable: 18th Edition and mechanical skills such as spindle rebuilds or bearing replacements.
• Full right to work in the UK (sponsorship is not available for this role).

• Respond quickly and professionally to machine breakdowns and facility issues
• Carry out planned maintenance and help develop preventative maintenance schedules
• Get involved in continuous improvement projects to boost machine reliability
• Contribute to safety initiatives and facility improvement work
• Work independently and as part of a shift-based engineering team
• Liaise with contractors, making sure all work meets site policies

We are working with an established aerospace manufacturing business in Leicester. Thanks to a rise in orders and a change to the way the site operates, they are looking for two Maintenance Engineers to strengthen their current engineering team.

You will look after a wide variety of CNC machines, tooling and robot cells, covering both proactive and reactive maintenance. It is a hands-on, varied role where no two days are the same.

This role would suit an engineer who enjoys a challenge and wants to keep learning new skills. The business genuinely values its people and offers secure, long-term employment, along with a work-life balance that is hard to find in manufacturing.

• 4-day week with no weekends: rotating AM (Tue–Fri 06:00–15:30), PM (Mon–Thu 12:30–22:00) and Nights (Mon–Thu 21:00–06:00)
