Job summary

Payen Search in Wales seeks an Electrical Maintenance Technician to keep production running safely and efficiently. The role follows a 4-on/4-off shift pattern in a busy manufacturing operation.

You will diagnose faults, perform preventative maintenance, and work with production teams to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime. A time-served apprenticeship/NVQ Level 3 is expected, with strong safety awareness and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 in engineering.
• Experience in manufacturing maintenance.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Respond to electrical equipment breakdowns to minimise downtime.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Diagnose faults, identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
• Monitor equipment and assist with continuous improvement initiatives.
• Maintain records of breakdowns and maintenance activities.
• Support shutdowns and resolve technical issues with teams.
• Ensure GMP, hygiene and safety compliance on site.
