Job summary

Synergi Recruitment client, a bakery-focused FMCG producer, is recruiting a Reliability Engineer for a large, highly automated operation. This day-based role operates in a 24/7 environment, focusing on improving asset reliability, equipment performance and maintenance standards.

You will lead root cause analysis, develop reliability projects, monitor assets, and collaborate with Production and Operations to reduce downtime and costs while maintaining safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Engineering apprenticeship, HNC, or degree required.
• Electrical or Mechanical engineering background.
• Experience in maintenance within manufacturing.
• PLC experience advantageous.
• Root cause analysis experience.
• Strong safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventative and reliability-focused maintenance activities.
• Lead and support root cause analysis investigations to identify and eliminate recurring failures.
• Develop and implement reliability improvement projects.
• Undertake condition monitoring and asset performance activities.
• Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
• Utilise SAP PM for maintenance planning and asset management.
• Work closely with Production, Operations and other departments to improve equipment performance.
• Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and engineering compliance.
• Support the reliability and performance of automated production, processing and packaging equipment, including conveyors, motors, drives, pumps, bearings and gearboxes.
