Job summary

Synergi Recruitment is seeking a Reliability Engineer for a large-scale FMCG operation in the UK. This day-based role sits in a 24/7 environment, focusing on improving asset reliability and equipment performance, with strong maintenance standards and safety requirements.

You will lead preventative maintenance, RCA investigations, and reliability projects, using SAP PM and cross-functional collaboration to reduce downtime and costs. Prior GMP/industrial experience is valued.

Qualifications

Engineering apprenticeship, HNC or degree or equivalent qualification.
Electrical or Mechanical engineering background required.
Experience in maintenance in a manufacturing environment.
Electrical candidates: strong fault-finding with PLC exposure desirable.
Mechanical candidates: pumps, motors, bearings, conveyors and gearboxes experience.

Responsibilities

Carry out planned, preventative and reliability-focused maintenance activities.
Lead and support root cause analysis investigations to identify and eliminate recurring failures.
Develop and implement reliability improvement projects.
Undertake condition monitoring and asset performance activities.
Identify opportunities to reduce equipment downtime and maintenance costs.
Support continuous improvement initiatives across the manufacturing operation.
Utilise SAP PM for maintenance planning and asset management.
Work closely with Production, Operations and other departments to improve equipment performance.
Maintain high standards of Health & Safety and engineering compliance.
Support the reliability and performance of automated production, processing and packaging equipment, including conveyors, motors, drives, pumps, bearings and gearboxes.
