Job summary

The Sterling Choice is seeking a Reliability Engineer for a days-based, Monday–Friday role in the UK FMCG sector. You will be responsible for reducing downtime, driving reliability improvements and implementing preventive and predictive maintenance across the site.

You will analyse failures, identify root causes and work with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure asset availability and performance. Strong analytical skills and CI mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Reliability, Maintenance or Continuous Improvement engineering.
• Strong understanding of engineering maintenance principles.
• Experience analysing equipment failures and carrying out RCA.
• Ideally FMCG/high-volume manufacturing experience.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Analyse equipment failures and identify root causes.
• Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Use engineering data to identify trends, recurring faults and opportunities for improvement.
• Drive reliability and continuous improvement projects across site.
• Work closely with Maintenance and Production teams.
• Improve asset availability, performance and overall equipment reliability.
• Support the development of PPM and condition-based maintenance programmes.
• Help reduce downtime, maintenance costs and repeat failures.
