Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its Thetford operation, a breaded/coated product centre of excellence. You will join the Engineering Team to perform daily mechanical and electrical maintenance on production equipment, ensuring safety and compliance with site policies.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery and production equipment.
• Ensure work is performed in line with Health & Safety regulations using Safe Systems of Work.
• Proactively identify improvements and propose corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.

About the Role

Our Thetford operation is a breaded/coated product centre of excellence. As a value added, non‑kill site we have no live animals or butchery onsite. It uses best in class equipment, which enables the site to deliver significant environmental benefits. The low‑energy building is the flagship development within the 2 Sisters Food Group.

As a Reliability Engineer you will be working closely with the Engineering Team and carry out daily mechanical maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out in line with appropriate Health & Safety instructions and site policies.

Key Responsibilities

• You will be required to carry out daily mechanical and electrical maintenance on machinery and production equipment
• Ensure the work is carried out in accordance with Health and Safety Regulations using Safe Systems of Work
• Proactively looking for new, improved ways of working and proposing corrective actions to prevent recurring issues

About You

The ideal candidate will be NVQ level 3 qualified and have experience as a Mechanical Engineer from a multi‑skilled environment.

Key Skills/Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of mechanical and some electrical engineering techniques
• Improvising ability under breakdown conditions and product development situations and be aware of the relevant regulations
• NVQ Level 3 Qualified at a minimum
• Experience of working in planned maintenance roles
• Strong interpersonal skills: a team player who is prepared to support fellow engineers and can also develop good relationships with colleagues in departments across the business
