Job summary

Thetford-based manufacturing site is seeking a Reliability Engineer to boost equipment reliability, reduce downtime and drive continuous improvement across the site. You will work with Engineering, Production and Operations teams to identify long-term reliability improvements using data and engineering expertise.

Key responsibilities include root cause analysis, developing maintenance strategies, data-driven improvement, and applying vibration, thermal imaging and oil analysis techniques.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential.
  • Engineering qualification in electrical or mechanical discipline or equivalent experience.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience in reliability engineering and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience using maintenance or performance data to drive improvements (Power BI advantageous).
  • Proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Reliability Engineer

Location: Norfolk
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Days)

Are you an experienced engineer with a passion for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime and driving continuous improvement?

We’re recruiting on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business for a Reliability Engineer to join their engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role in improving plant performance while working in a fast-paced production environment.

The Role

As a Reliability Engineer, you’ll be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reduce maintenance costs and maximise operational efficiency. Working closely with Engineering, Production and Operations teams, you’ll use data and engineering expertise to deliver long-term reliability improvements across the site.

About You

We’re looking for someone who has:

  • Previous experience within a manufacturing or production environment.
  • An engineering qualification in an electrical or mechanical discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and fault-finding skills.
  • Experience of reliability engineering and predictive maintenance techniques.
  • The ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
  • Experience using maintenance or performance data to drive improvements (Power BI experience would be advantageous).
  • A proactive approach with excellent problem-solving skills.

Experience within FMCG, packaging or other high-speed manufacturing environments would be beneficial but is not essential.
