As an Engineering Manager, you will lead the engineering and maintenance function at our Gunstones bakery site, ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production assets. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll drive engineering excellence, develop a high-performing team, and lead continuous improvement initiatives that directly impact site performance and business success. Working closely with Production and Operations teams, you'll play a key role in shaping a proactive maintenance culture and improving asset reliability.
Gunstones produces some of the finest hot cross buns, bread rolls, brioche buns and iced buns for some of the nation’s favourite high street retailers including Marks and Spencer, Co-Op, Tesco and Aldi. We have around 700 colleagues. The Gunstones family started this business in 1862 and went on to open their first bakery in Sheffield in 1925. In 1952, they built the factory, which is our current site in Dronfield.
