Job summary

HelloFresh seeks a Reliability Engineer at our Derby site to act as the SME for controls systems, sensors, PLCs, and automation. You’ll collaborate with facilities and maintenance to sustain uptime and drive reliability improvements across conveyance, automation and facilities equipment.

You'll monitor, fault-find, and repair systems hands-on, perform preventive maintenance, and escalate issues as needed. You’ll document work in CMMS and mentor colleagues while leading root-cause analyses of

Qualifications

• Qualified or solid practical understanding in Mechatronics, Electrical & Electronic, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Experienced in Automation, Mechanical, or Maintenance Engineering within manufacturing/FMCG environments.
• Proficient in PLC-controlled systems, programming, troubleshooting, and maintenance of PLCs, HMIs & VFDs.
• Capable of mentoring maintenance personnel and leading root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, fault-find and repair systems to maximise equipment availability for internal customers.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections on automation, robotics and control panels.
• Lead root cause analysis of major downtime events and support CI initiatives.
• Document work in CMMS and ticketing systems; mentor junior engineers.
