Job summary

Refresco UK in Kegworth is seeking a Control & Automation Engineer to champion automation standards across the site, lead PLC/HMI projects, and drive improvements in reliability and energy efficiency.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will support capital projects, mentor engineers, and ensure systems are robust and compliant with Refresco engineering standards.

Qualifications

• Strong electrical engineering background with automation experience in manufacturing.
• Experience leading automation projects and standards compliance.
• Ability to coach and develop engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Act as site automation lead for PLC, HMI and networked control systems.
• Maintain automation standards, backup strategies and critical assets.
• Support capital projects and automation upgrades per Refresco standards.
• Identify improvements to enhance reliability, efficiency and energy use.
• Develop in-house capability through coaching and knowledge sharing.
