Job summary

HelloFresh in the Derby area is seeking a Junior Maintenance Engineer to fix, maintain and improve site equipment, ensuring reliable operation across the production lines.

You will perform reactive and preventative maintenance, log defects in the CMMS, coordinate with contractors, and uphold health and safety standards while working rotating day and night shifts. This role suits proactive individuals with a hands-on approach and good teamwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or engineering field preferred.
• Knowledge of automated systems and PLC controls.
• Basic computer skills and CMMS familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventive maintenance on plant and equipment.
• Identify defects during PPMs and undertake rectifications.
• Conduct minor structural and electrical improvement works.
• Provide reactive support, including breakdown response.
• Supervise contractors to ensure work meets spec and safety rules.
• Report health and safety issues and maintain site compliance.
• Monitor task status with maintenance shift manager and update CMMS.
• Flag low stock levels to keep inventory within min-max.
