Job summary

Diageo Belfast is seeking a Reliability Engineer (Mechanical Bias) to ensure equipment reliability and optimal maintenance aligned with production goals. You will lead maintenance strategy, solve complex faults, and drive asset improvements in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The role requires an electrical or mechanical apprenticeship with an HNC or equivalent, strong problem-solving skills, and experience with SAP and data analysis. A proactive, safety-focused approach is essential.

Qualifications

  • Recognised electrical or mechanical apprenticeship with HNC or equivalent.
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with maintenance systems such as SAP and data analysis.
  • Ability to lead, communicate effectively and work in a team.
  • Commitment to safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Enhance Asset Care KPIs via effective maintenance, problem-solving and asset improvement.
  • Align maintenance plans with failure mode assessments.
  • Move to proactive/condition-based engineering, reducing reactive maintenance.
  • Root-cause major breakdowns and implement asset reliability improvements.
  • Utilise data analysis to scope/implement improvement projects for compliance, cost, performance.
  • Optimise critical spares and stock levels for efficiency.
  • Provide technical expertise during breakdowns, setups, and capital projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement across teams; ensure PPM tasks are completed.
