Job summary

Diageo España SA in Leven, Scotland, seeks a Mechanical Compliance Engineer to ensure the site remains fully compliant with current legislation and Diageo Global Technical Standards. You will lead compliance across LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, pressure systems, asbestos, Legionella and related areas, coordinating inspections with teams and contractors.

You will maintain maintenance plans in SAP/CMMS, create robust engineering documentation, and keep processes audit-ready.

Qualifications

• Time-served Mechanical Engineer with an HNC level qualification.
• IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification required.
• Experience interpreting mechanical drawings and P&IDs.
• Knowledge of LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER and related standards.
• Experience with SAP or other CMMS platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support compliance activities across LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, and related areas.
• Coordinate inspections with internal teams and external contractors.
• Maintain statutory maintenance plans within SAP and ensure engineering documentation is audit-ready.
• Drive safety, compliance and engineering best practices across the site.
• Influence and coach colleagues to uphold high standards.

Together with passionate people from all over the world, you’ll test new ideas, learn and grow, and unlock a brighter, more exciting future.**About the Role**As a Mechanical Engineer (Compliance) you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Leven Packaging site remains fully compliant with current legislation and Diageo Global Technical Standards.Reporting to the Site Engineering Maintenance Manager you will lead and support compliance activities across a broad range of areas including LOLER, DSEAR, PUWER, Pressure Systems, Asbestos, Legionella, COMAH, LOTO, process safety, and risk assessments.You’ll work closely with internal teams and external contractors to coordinate inspections, implement remedial actions, maintain statutory maintenance plans within SAP and ensure engineering documentation, safety systems and compliance processes are robust, current and audit-ready.This is an excellent opportunity to drive engineering excellence, influence site standards, and contribute to a safe and high-performing manufacturing environment.**About You**We’re looking for a time-served Mechanical Engineer, ideally qualified to HNC level with IOSH Managing Safely or NEBOSH certification.You’ll have strong knowledge of mechanical systems, the ability to interpret technical drawings and P&IDs and be confident using systems such as Microsoft Office and SAP or other CMMS platforms.
