From sourcing ingredients to getting products into customers' hands, you'll play a role in delivering the brands people know and love.**About the role**As an Inventory & Materials Coordinator, you'll be responsible for the accurate management, control, reconciliation and reporting of packaging and raw material inventories that support our canning operations. You'll play a key role in maintaining SAP inventory accuracy, ensuring uninterrupted production, safeguarding stock integrity, and supporting compliance with financial, audit and governance requirements.**Business Context**Operating within Beer Category Operations, you'll support the production and supply of Diageo's beer portfolio by delivering robust inventory management, material control and SAP transaction governance. Your work will be critical in maintaining inventory accuracy, ensuring material availability and supporting Diageo's purpose of \"Crafting iconic drinks, chosen for life's moments.\"**Scope**Supporting the Belfast Packaging canning production lines, you'll manage the end-to-end administration of packaging and raw material inventories, including cans, trays, lids, pallets and other production components. Working closely with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Warehousing, Procurement, Finance, Quality and external suppliers, you'll ensure accurate inventory control and material availability to support efficient production operations.You'll oversee goods receipt processing, stock reconciliations, supplier reconciliations, production order adjustments, inventory reporting, stock take activities, audit support and SAP inventory transactions. As the site's subject matter expert for inventory management, you'll also ensure compliance with internal controls, audit requirements and CARM standards.**What you'll be doing**Inventory & Materials Management* Maintain accurate inventory records and reconcile SAP stock against physical inventory.* Process supplier deliveries and goods receipts accurately within SAP.* Investigate stock discrepancies and implement appropriate corrective actions.* Monitor stock movements, blocked stock and inventory variances.* Manage production order inventory adjustments and stock reconciliations.Production Support & SAP Governance* Support canning operations by ensuring effective material control and component availability.* Manage SAP inventory transactions, including goods receipts, stock transfers, adjustments, reversals and inventory reporting.* Monitor production plans and material requirements to support operational continuity.* Resolve system issues and maintain the integrity of inventory data.Audit, Compliance & Stock Take Management* Ensure compliance with inventory governance, financial controls and CARM requirements.* Maintain accurate, audit-ready documentation and supporting evidence.* Coordinate cycle counts, annual stock takes and inventory investigations.* Support internal and external audits, including approval processes for inventory adjustments.Continuous Improvement* Identify opportunities to improve inventory controls, reporting and stock accuracy.* Drive process standardisation and operational efficiency.* Support warehouse and inventory improvement initiatives.Stakeholder Management* Build strong relationships with Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Procurement, Finance, Quality, Warehouse Operations and Line Support teams to ensure inventory accuracy and continuity of supply.* Collaborate with logistics providers, suppliers, auditors and external partners to resolve inventory, delivery, compliance and reconciliation issues.People Management* Provide day-to-day oversight of the Store Operatives responsible for staging and issuing packaging materials to the production lines, ensuring the timely reconciliation of materials used, returns and inventory adjustments.* Ensure appropriate shift cover is maintained to support operational requirements.**Experience / skills required:*** Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, manufacturing support, people management and supply chain administration.* Strong knowledge of SAP inventory management and inventory control processes.* Proven experience managing stock reconciliations, inventory reporting, audit activities and production support within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.* Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate root causes, interpret data and identify practical solutions.* Excellent planning, organisation and problem-solving skills, with strong attention to detail.* Effective stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to build collaborative relationships across teams.* Understanding of inventory governance, compliance and audit requirements.* A proactive, organised and continuous improvement mindset, with a commitment to operational excellence and delivering accurate, high-quality outcomes.Flexibility is key to our success.
