Job summary

Sense is seeking an experienced Solutions Delivery Manager to join our IT team on a 12‑month fixed term contract. The hybrid role is based at our Selly Oak office in Birmingham with occasional travel to other Sense locations.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering technical changes and releases within a complex technology environment.
• Strong knowledge of release and deployment management processes.
• Experience with cloud-based technologies and SaaS solutions.
• Experience in Agile environments with understanding of waterfall delivery.
• Good knowledge of ITIL change and release management.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end release management lifecycle across multiple applications and technology platforms.
• Plan, schedule and coordinate releases, ensuring dependencies, risks and requirements are understood.
• Lead go-live activity, including deployment planning and transition to operations.
• Manage releases through development, testing, pre-production and live environments.
• Develop and maintain release calendars, deployment runbooks and documentation.
• Plan and coordinate acceptance testing and report outcomes.
• Identify and proactively manage risks impacting scope, quality or timescales.
• Work with internal teams and suppliers to ensure delivery within budget.
