Job summary

Heath Hayes Primary Academy is seeking a Relational Care Support Assistant to provide SEMH support and relational care to children from Nursery to Year 6. You will plan, prepare and deliver 1:1 and small-group sessions, including Talk therapies, ELSA and mindfulness activities, with occasional whole-class support.

The role includes lunchtime supervision and playground activities, using data to inform groupings and sessions. A passion for helping pupils and a can-do attitude are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children and delivering relational care sessions (1:1, small groups or whole class).
• Ability to plan, prepare and deliver SEL/SEMH activities.
• Comfort using talk therapies, mindfulness and emotion regulation techniques with children.

Responsibilities

• Deliver relational care and SEMH sessions across Nursery to Year 6.
• Provide lunchtime support and playground engagement.
• Use pupil data to inform groupings and session planning.
