Job summary

Pink Tile Education Ltd is seeking a resilient SEMH 1:1 Support Assistant to work with a Year 5 pupil at a Brighton & Hove primary school. The role runs Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm, term time only, with from £93 per day.

The pupil is academically capable but requires emotional and behavioural support; the role involves building trust, supporting emotional regulation, de-escalation, restorative approaches, and close collaboration with teachers and external professionals.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, ADHD, or behavioural needs.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Calm and resilient approach under pressure.
• Genuine interest in supporting vulnerable children.
• Previous school-based experience.

A nurturing and forward-thinking primary school is seeking a resilient and compassionate SEMH Support Assistant to work closely with a Year 5 pupil who requires additional emotional and behavioural support.

The pupil is highly capable academically but can find certain situations challenging and requires support to manage emotions, transitions, and relationships throughout the school day. When dysregulated, they can display behaviours that require calm, consistent adult support.

The school has adopted a therapeutic and trauma-informed approach to behaviour and is committed to helping children regulate, reflect, and re-engage with learning.

The role will involve:
