Job summary

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is seeking a dedicated Rehoming & Welfare Assistant for the Old Windsor cattery. You will provide compassionate intake, oversee cat welfare, observe and record behavioural data, and help prepare cats for successful rehoming with thorough health checks and socialisation.

  • Perform physical tasks required to provide exceptional standards of care, including handling and moving cats.

Rehoming & Welfare Assistant

Battersea Old Windsor's cattery is looking for a dedicated team member to join as a Rehoming & Welfare Assistant. The role involves providing the highest standard of animal husbandry, care and enrichment to the cats in our care, and ensuring that they are ready for rehoming as quickly as possible through observing and recording insightful behaviour observations, forming temperament assessments and maintaining up‑to‑date animal records.

  • Provide compassionate intake for cats and facilitate a calm, welcoming environment.
  • Deliver feline friendly care while cats are on site, monitoring health, behaviour and wellbeing.
