Job summary

Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in Old Windsor is seeking a Rehoming & Welfare Assistant to provide the highest standards of animal husbandry, care and enrichment for dogs in our care.

You will maintain kennels cleanliness, feed, water, and enrich dogs, support behavioural and medical needs, and keep accurate animal records while reviewing procedures to ensure excellent care. Interviews are in person on 2 December 2026; start date 11 January 2027; CVs not accepted due to anonymised shortlisting.

We are looking for a Rehoming & Welfare Assistant to join our beautiful Battersea centre in Old Windsor, providing the highest standards of animal husbandry, care, and enrichment to the dogs in our care.

In this role, you will ensure our kennels meet high standards of cleanliness, provide dogs with the correct food, water, and enrichment, and support their behavioural and medical needs. You will keep accurate animal records and regularly review procedures to maintain excellent care for every dog at Battersea.

Closing date: We will close the vacancy once it is filled.

Interview date: Thursday, 2nd December 2026 (In person, at our Old Windsor centre)

Start Date: Monday, 11th January 2027
