Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to deliver therapy interventions across the hub and Chartridge MDT, supporting patients in Hub Bed Care Home, ward, and in some cases patients’ homes. The post focuses on improving patient function and safe discharge home.

The role requires working across disciplines, following signed competencies, and supporting staff with equipment provision and patient hygiene while respecting cultural and religious needs.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma or equivalent.
• Commit to undertaking Foundation Degree and any associated training once available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions within clinical settings according to set protocols and scope of the Therapy Assistant Practitioner role.
• Undertake assessment of suitable patients following signed off competencies and delegated by supervising Therapist.
• Deliver individual programmes, manage a defined caseload, and plan reviews with minimal supervision.
