Job summary

Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Therapy Assistant Practitioner to join the Hub Bed and Chartridge MDT. You will deliver therapy, assess patients, and support equipment needs to improve function and discharge home.

The role emphasises teamwork, patient dignity, and flexible, adaptive practice across wards and home settings. Training and PPE are provided within NHS frameworks.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Health and Social Care Diploma or equivalent.
• Commit to Foundation Degree and related training when available.

Responsibilities

• Deliver therapy interventions within set protocols and scope of role.
• Undertake patient assessments with delegated supervision by Therapists.
• Deliver high standards of care and manage a defined caseload with reviews.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to support functional improvement and discharge planning.
• Assess, fit and adjust mobility equipment with training and sign-off.
• Assist with personal hygiene and comfort while respecting privacy, culture and dignity.
