Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust on Broadfield Ward, Haywood Hospital, is seeking a Therapy Assistant to support a multidisciplinary rehabilitation team. You will work with Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists to deliver person-centred rehabilitation and assist with discharge planning.

You will help implement therapy programmes for patients with physical, cognitive, communication and psychological rehabilitation needs in an inpatient setting, supporting timely recovery and safe

Qualifications

• Essential qualification: QCF/NVQ/Apprenticeship Level 3 or equivalent.
• Essential IT skills and basic rehab knowledge.
• Ability to manage time effectively.

Responsabilités

• Deliver rehabilitation interventions under the guidance of registered therapists.
• Support patients to maximise independence and achieve rehabilitation goals.
• Assist with therapy programmes, group activities and functional rehabilitation sessions.
• Monitor patient progress and provide feedback to registered practitioners.
• Support discharge planning and transitions from hospital to community settings.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and collect service activity data.
• Prepare therapy resources and equipment for rehabilitation interventions.
• Work collaboratively with patients, families, carers and multidisciplinary colleagues.
• Contribute to service improvement initiatives, clinical audit and quality improvement activities.
