Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Rehabilitation Assistant for Park House in Bedford. You will support residents with rehabilitation and daily living activities, under the supervision of Team Leaders and Senior Rehabilitation Assistants, delivering high-quality care in a neurological/complex care setting.

The role requires compassionate, patient-centered care, adherence to care plans, and collaboration with an IDT to maximise residents’ independence and safety.

Qualifications

• Ability to build therapeutic relationships with residents.
• Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Ability to follow Therapists and Senior Rehabilitation Assistants' instructions.
• Ability to use hand-operated or power equipment.
• Ability to organize workload and maintain care records.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high standards of care and rehabilitation.
• Ensure resident safety following national legislation and local policy.
• Participate in the keyworker programme for consistent care delivery.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care programmes for residents.
• Develop therapeutic relationships with residents, relatives, and staff.
• Support residents with meals, hydration, and mobility as guided by care plans.
