Job summary

Active Care Group is recruiting a Rehabilitation Assistant for the Chislehurst Neurological Rehabilitation Centre in Greater London. You will support HCPC-registered therapists with individual and group rehabilitation sessions, and help patients with mobility, personal care and daily activities.

The role follows a 7-day rota with weekend shifts. The organization offers extensive training, development opportunities and a supportive, multidisciplinary team in a leading UK complex care provider.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare, rehabilitation or therapy environment.
• Understanding of disability, neurological conditions and rehabilitation principles.
• Ability to work flexibly across a 7-day rota and start shifts on time.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and team-working skills.
• Willingness to undertake specialist training as part of induction.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individual and group rehabilitation programmes as prescribed by HCPC-registered therapists.
• Undertake treatment sessions or components of treatment under guidance following care plans and risk assessments.
• Provide feedback to the therapeutic team on adjustments to treatment programmes and goal attainment factors.
• Support patients with mobility, positioning, transfers, self-care and functional activities.
• Assist with personal care and rehabilitation activities during the first part of the shift with nursing/HCAs.
