Job summary

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Rehabilitation Assistant to work 37.5 hours per week, full or part time, with an MDT team in the Intermediate Care Service. The post is based at Wigton Hospital, serving Wigton, Maryport, Carlisle and Aspatria, to support patients to regain independence after hospital stays.

You will undertake assessments, provide rehabilitation-focused care, and maintain records while collaborating with qualified staff.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in health/ rehabilitation.
• Care Certificate or willingness to undertake this.
• Evidence of ongoing training and mandatory courses.

Responsibilities

• Work unaccompanied as a lone worker under professional guidance.
• Contribute to assessment, implementation, evaluation and modification of interventions.
• Carry out simple assessments and prescribe routine equipment within competence.
• Maintain accurate written and computer records.
• Work flexibly including bank holidays and weekend working.
