Job summary

Active Care Group is seeking a Rehabilitation Assistant for our Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre in London. You will work on a rota including weekends, with full-time hours of 37.63 per week, on a 07:30-19:45 and 19:30-07:45 shift pattern.

The role involves supporting adults with complex care needs and rehabilitation goals, while maintaining safeguarding, documentation and person-centred care. You will participate in care plans, support daily living activities, promote independence

Qualifications

• Empathy and patience when supporting vulnerable adults.
• Experience with behaviour management and Positive Behaviour Support (PBS).

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, caring and supportive environment for adults.
• Assist with daily routines, personal care, meals, mobility and household tasks.
• Ensure safety and dignity by following safeguarding policies.
• Maintain accurate care records (written and electronic).
• Support behaviour management and emotional regulation using PBS techniques.
• Encourage participation in meaningful activities, therapy and social events.
• Promote independence and choice in daily life.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals and external agencies.

We proudly employ over 4000+ people - no matter what your experience, we have jobs for everyone.**We'd like you to join us as a Rehabilitation assistant at our service based in London**.**At Blackheath Brain Injury Rehabilitation Centre, we are specialists in the treatment of patients over the age of 18 with physical and cognitive impairments and/or neuropsychiatric disorders resulting from a brain injury or other neurological condition.
