Job summary

NHS Scotland is recruiting an enthusiastic and experienced Health Care Support Worker to join the team in the Bignold Ward at Caithness General Hospital, Wick.

You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing pressure area and personal care, supporting rehabilitation goals, and delivering evidence-based patient-centred care on a 36-hour-per-week rotating day/night shift. Flexible working options may be available.

Qualifications

• HCSW with enthusiasm and experience required.
• Strong team player in a multidisciplinary environment.
• Ability to deliver pressure area and personal care.
• Commitment to evidence-based patient-centred care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with rehabilitation goals alongside the MDT.
• Provide pressure area care and personal care to patients.
• Support care for patients with complex conditions on an acute post-acute ward.
• Rotate across day/night shifts as required.
