Job summary

University Hospitals of Morecambe Bay NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Clinical Support Worker for Ward 6 and the Acute Stroke Unit at Furness General Hospital in Barrow-in-Furness. The role is Band 3, part time (27 hours per week) with a pro rata salary.

Qualifications

• Basic literacy and numeracy skills.
• Previous experience in nursing.
• Willingness to undertake NVQ level 3 in care related area.
• Completed Trust Support Worker Programme

Responsibilities

• Document all care provided appropriately.
• Recognise changes in patient condition and report to a RN.
• Ensure patient dignity and individual patient needs are met.
• Support RNs in providing information and advice on health promotion.
• Act as an effective role model for all ward staff.
• Assist in ensuring that effective channels are used to canvas the views and concerns of all patients and carers.
