Job summary

NHS Highland is recruiting a Senior Health and Social Care Support Worker for the integrated Care at Home service in Wick, Caithness. The role delivers holistic care to individuals in their own homes and aims to promote independence and wellbeing.

You will work closely with nurses, social workers and allied health professionals, maintaining care records and adhering to NHS Highland policies. Full training and induction are provided, with a 4 days on, 4 days off pattern to support work-life

Qualifications

• Willingness to work towards SVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care
• Understanding of person-centred care and safeguarding
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (travel expenses available)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, person-centred care to individuals in their own homes
• Assist with personal care, medication support, continence care, nutrition & hydration, skincare, mobility support
• Support service users to maintain independence, dignity and wellbeing
• Work closely with nurses, social workers and allied health professionals
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date care records and documentation
• Follow NHS Highland policies and safeguarding procedures
