About the role

Title: Product Technologist - Detergents

Location: Remote working with occasional travel to Northampton

Salary: Up to £35,000

Type: Permanent

Company overview

SRG is a global FMCG product testing company known for excellent customer service, providing product testing, certification, and consulting on quality and safety for manufacturers, distributors, and retailers. We are seeking a Product Technologist to support successful product launches in America and Australia, manage regulatory documentation, and liaise with suppliers on new product information.

Key responsibilities

1. Collaborate with teams and suppliers to meet Critical Path deadlines.
2. Log samples and ensure compliance with requirements.
3. Develop and implement regulatory strategies for product launches in Australia and America.
4. Gather and update product information from suppliers.
5. Oversee labelling, artwork creation, and document management.
6. Review artwork against product details and provide feedback.
7. Physically review packaging against artwork and check for errors.
8. Maintain knowledge of regulatory functions to ensure accurate product maintenance in global markets.
9. Prepare SDS sheets, dossiers, and other regulatory documents for submissions and renewals.

Minimum requirements

• Degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in regulatory compliance for detergents/home care products.
• Understanding of product formulation and standards such as CLP, REACH, Detergents Regulation, CPSC.

Additional information

Nice-to-have skills include product development, project management, stakeholder management, and familiarity with Northampton. Fluency in English is required.
