Job description

Binnies, an RSK Group company, is seeking a Regulatory Reporting & Assurance Lead to join our expanding Asset Management team.

Binnies is at the forefront of transformation in the UK Water industry. With recent funding of £104bn from Ofwat’s 2024 price review, this is a pivotal time to be involved. The industry faces challenges such as reducing leakage by 20% and pollution by 30% by 2030. Binnies is committed to helping clients meet these targets through robust regulatory reporting.

About the Role

The Regulatory Reporting & Assurance Lead will oversee regulatory reporting, ensure compliance with Ofwat’s PR24 regulations, and manage both financial and non-financial submissions. Responsibilities include:

  1. Developing methodologies for regulatory reporting and assurance.
  2. Leading a team to deliver accurate and transparent reports.
  3. Presenting findings to senior stakeholders and regulators.
  4. Managing relationships with regulators like Ofwat, Environment Agency, and Drinking Water Inspectorate.
  5. Supporting the team in navigating complex regulatory requirements.
  6. Fostering a culture of professional development aligned with Binnies’ values.

Qualifications and skills required:

  • Degree in STEM or equivalent.
  • Senior experience in Regulatory Reporting and Assurance, preferably in the UK Water Industry.
  • Experience managing assurance teams or regulation within asset-based organisations.
  • Chartered status or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong numeracy and presentation skills.
