Job summary

Revolut Ltd is seeking a senior Legal Counsel to advise on AI product initiatives across the business, ensuring regulatory compliance while enabling fast, scalable innovation.

You will partner with Product, Data Science and Engineering to design governance, manage regulatory risk, and coordinate external counsel as needed. This role requires at least five years PQE in financial services regulation and strong communication with senior stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of PQE with an impressive background in financial services regulation and product counselling
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
• Solid knowledge of AI legal principles, including the EU AI Act, automated decision-making compliance, and data governance
• Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide regulatory advice on the deployment of AI products, ensuring compliance with key legislation and regulatory expectations
• Translate financial regulations into practical, scalable product guardrails
• Partner with Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to design legally sound automated customer journeys and support workflows
• Structure regulatory governance frameworks for AI decision-making and protection mechanisms
• Liaise with external counsel, distilling and coordinating advice for senior management
• Excel at leadership while handling significant and complex legal matters with short turnarounds
