Revolut Ltd is seeking a senior Legal Counsel to advise on AI product initiatives across the business, ensuring regulatory compliance while enabling fast, scalable innovation.

You will partner with Product, Data Science and Engineering to design governance, manage regulatory risk, and coordinate external counsel as needed. This role requires at least five years PQE in financial services regulation and strong communication with senior stakeholders.

• 5+ years of PQE with an impressive background in financial services regulation and product counselling
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information

About the role

The Legal team turns complexity into clarity by partnering with teams across Revolut to provide sharp, practical advice that helps the business move fast while staying protected. From structuring credit programmes to navigating new markets, the Legal team ensures growth is secure, compliant, and built for the long term.

We're looking for a Legal Counsel to serve as the legal advisor for AI product initiatives. You'll ensure our customer-facing tools (including automated support assistants, smart routing, and generative AI features) are built on rock-solid regulatory foundations.

What you’ll be doing

• Providing regulatory advice on the deployment of AI products, ensuring full compliance with key legislation and regulatory expectations
• Translating financial regulations into practical, scalable product guardrails
• Partnering directly with Product Owners, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to design legally sound automated customer journeys, chat assistants, and support workflows
• Structuring regulatory governance frameworks for AI decision-making, automated resolution pathways, and vulnerable customer protection mechanisms
• Liaising with specialist external counsel, distilling and coordinating advice for senior management and non-legal audiences
• Excelling at leadership while also undertaking executional work to handle significant and complex legal matters with short turnaround times

What you'll need

• 5+ years of PQE with an impressive background in financial services regulation and product counselling
• Excellent academic and law firm credentials
• Sound judgement, composure under pressure, and a collaborative mindset
• Confidence making decisions where there's ambiguity or incomplete information
