Job summary

Standard Life plc is seeking a communications specialist to translate regulatory and financial information into clear, customer‑facing messaging. You will lead the delivery of mandatory customer communications across regulatory change and business as usual activities.

Across multiple brands, you’ll coordinate with subject matter experts and outsourced partners to ensure messages are compliant, accurate and customer‑oriented, driving continuous improvement and best practice across the business.

Qualifications

• Practical experience of developing customer communications in a regulated financial services environment, ideally with pensions or investment experience.
• Strong planning and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent written communication skills and the ability to simplify complex information for customers.
• Experience building effective relationships and influencing stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Customer-first mindset with a passion for clear, high-quality communications.
• Confidence challenging the status quo and identifying opportunities to improve processes and ways of working.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of one-off mandatory customer communications across regulatory change, strategic projects and BAU activity.
• Work across multiple brands to ensure communications are clear, compliant and support good outcomes.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts and outsourced service providers to maintain momentum across priorities.
• Champion best practice and drive continuous improvement in how mandatory communications are delivered across the business.
