Job summary

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) in Birmingham is recruiting a Registration & Compliance Support Officer to help deliver high-quality regulatory services. You will advise on registration, compliance and annual returns, maintain records, and provide excellent customer service by phone and email.

Hybrid working is available: 60% time in the Colmore Row office and 40% remote. The role suits a highly organized, customer-focused professional with strong communication and risk-based

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance on registration, compliance, annual returns, professional indemnity insurance, and regulatory schemes.
  • Support the maintenance of accurate registration records and regulatory data.
  • Assess cases, determine appropriate actions, and escalat where required.
  • Deliver excellent customer service through phone and email support.
  • Contribute to compliance processes, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.
What you will be doing
  • Advising firms and professionals on regulatory requirements.
  • Managing registration and compliance-related enquiries.
  • Reviewing information and making evidence-based decisions.
  • Maintaining accurate records and supporting regulatory processes.
  • Managing multiple priorities while meeting deadlines and service standards.
About You

You are a highly organised and customer-focused professional with strong communication skills and sound judgement. You enjoy working collaboratively, can manage a varied workload, and are confident making risk-based decisions in a changing environment.

  • Desirable: Knowledge of regulatory frameworks, compliance systems, or professional indemnity insurance processes
