Overview

Join the Pride Team as a Procedure Nurse

Deliver gold-standard care in a dynamic, specialist-led environment

Are you a passionate RVN looking to take the next step in your clinical career? Scarsdale Veterinary Group is looking for a Procedure Nurse to join our dedicated team at Scarsdale Vets at Pride Veterinary Referrals in Derby.

Develop Your Skills in a Supportive, Specialist Environment

In this varied and rewarding role, you\'ll support the delivery of high-quality veterinary care across multiple areas of the hospital. From anaesthesia and inpatient care to assisting with procedures, diagnostics and imaging, you\'ll be a key part of our patient journey. You\'ll also have the opportunity to perform Schedule 3 procedures under veterinary direction, broadening your clinical skill set and autonomy. You\'ll work with advanced diagnostic tools including X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, ECGs, blood pressure monitoring, and lab diagnostics - gaining valuable hands-on experience every day.

In addition to your clinical duties, you\'ll support the hospital\'s day-to-day operations, contributing to stock control, equipment maintenance and efficient team workflows. We strongly encourage CPD and will back your ongoing development with training and support.

Work With Leading Facilities and a Specialist Team

Scarsdale Vets is a purpose-built, state-of-the-art hospital. Our facilities include 13 consultation rooms, 7 hospital wards, 5 theatres (with more on the way), an imaging suite with CT, MRI and digital X-ray, 3 ultrasound rooms, an endoscopy suite, hydrotherapy pool and treadmills, and dedicated chemo treatment rooms.

You\'ll join a large and friendly team with a wealth of clinical knowledge across first opinion. The scale and complexity of our caseload gives you the chance to continually develop your skills and gain experience in areas you\'re passionate about - all within a supportive and collaborative environment.

What We\'re Looking For

We\'re looking for a qualified RVN, ideally with at least one year of post-registration experience. You\'ll need to be confident working independently and demonstrate a strong foundation in nursing protocols. While experience in advanced imaging is a plus, we offer full training and support to help you thrive. Additional qualifications or certificates are welcome but not essential.

Hours and Working Pattern

This is a full-time role averaging 38 hours per week. You\'ll work across four weekdays and take part in a one-in-six weekend rota. Shifts vary between 7:30am and 7:00pm with the occasional Twilight shift which is 3pm-12am.

If you\'re ready to join a forward-thinking, supportive team and work in a hospital that really has it all - we\'d love to hear from you.
