Job summary

London Vet Specialists is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join the Patient Flow team in our multi-disciplinary referral hospital in Hammersmith. The role focuses on non-clinical nursing duties with exposure to clinical areas, collaborating with the Patient Flow Coordinator and HoNS to optimise patient flow and admissions.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with experience in a referral hospital.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work cross-team.
• Comfort with non-clinical nursing tasks and hospital workflow processes.

Responsibilities

• Accept emergency referral calls for triage with referring vets to assess suitability for acceptance.
• Process patient admissions to the hospital and manage labelling and documentation in the PMS/SmartFlow systems.
• Liaise with the Patient Flow Coordinator and hospital teams to schedule procedures and coordinate care.
• Provide on-arrival triage and direct patients toClinical teams or clinics as appropriate.
• Maintain high standards of hospital hygiene and assist with basic nursing tasks as needed.
