Job summary

London Vet Specialists, part of Linnaeus Veterinary Limited, is seeking a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join as Patient Flow Coordinator to optimise patient scheduling across a multi-disciplinary referral hospital in London.

You will collaborate with anesthesia, imaging and wards teams, manage admissions, and lead daily caseload planning while supporting a 35-strong nursing team and ISFM/BVBA cat- and dog-friendly standards. A great step for a nurse seeking a clinical-adjacent leadership path.

Qualifications

• Registered Veterinary Nurse with RVN status.
• Experience coordinating patient flow in a hospital setting preferred.
• Ability to liaise with anesthesia, imaging and wards teams to optimise scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient investigations and surgery through workflow boards.
• Liaise with clinical teams to schedule across services and update the schedule.
• Accept emergency triage calls and assess suitability for acceptance.
• Process admissions including labelling, Animana and SmartFlow setup.
• Plan daily caseloads to maximise theatres, imaging and anaesthesia capacity.
• Host patient flow meetings to review and improve workflows.
• Assist with triage on arrival and direct patients to the appropriate team.
• Contribute to incident reviews and ISFM/BVBA cat/dog-friendly standards.
• Participate in hospital committees to shape culture and standards.
