Creative Support are seeking a highly committed, proactive and professional Registered Service Manager to lead the operational management of a number of supported living services located in Telford & Shrewsbury. Currently, there are 6 services with the capacity to support up to 19 people, all of whom have a learning disability and/or autism and complex needs, including mental health needs and behaviors which may challenge.
All tenants require well-planned, personalized support to encourage them to learn new skills and allow them to become more confident and independent.
As the Registered Service Manager, you will ensure that the service is of the highest quality, meeting all CQC standards and contract requirements, which can be demonstrated through comprehensive quality and contract monitoring processes. You will ensure that the service works in a cohesive and coordinated manner and that service users experience fully integrated care, support, and housing.
You will ensure that the care and support delivered is truly personalized and provided in accordance with agreed care plans, enabling service users to enjoy well-being, quality of life, and community connections. You will promote and reinforce a culture of responsive, person-centered practice and active support across the service, with relationships based on respect and unconditional positive regard. You must have at least three years of prior experience supporting people with a learning disability and/or autism who have complex needs and at least two years of supervisory/management experience. You will also have relevant experience in implementing PBS and positive risk management approaches, founded on the principles of least restrictive practice. You must demonstrate excellent assessment, support planning, and report writing skills. Some experience of managing successful transitions from and into services is essential.
You will have a good knowledge of CQC requirements and care standards and experience of auditing services against agreed quality and outcome expectations. You will also have a good knowledge of PBS principles and strategies and legal/good practice frameworks (including MCA, DOLs, and MHA) and their application in a supported living setting. You will have a good knowledge of mental and physical health needs/conditions as the ability to promote holistic health and well-being is essential.
