About the Job:

The Registered Nurse:
• Practices in a variety of clinical settings and is responsible for the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of client care.
• Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team.
• Ensures the delivery of client-centered care by assisting individual clients and their families in responding to changing health care needs.
• Demonstrates a specialized body of knowledge and bases practice on nursing science and related content from other sciences and humanities.

This is a CASUAL OPPORTUNITY. Casual means hours are not guaranteed and may vary, with shifts at short notice. Casual employees are self-scheduling and are eligible to apply for internal postings, including permanent and temporary positions. Many opportunities within Interior Health start with casual employment and can lead to regular employment.

Shifts will be scheduled days and nights, rotating from 07:00 to 19:00 and 19:00 to 07:00 hours.

* Effective April 1, 2024, the hourly wage will be $41.42 to $55.91 per hour.

About this location/unit:

Located in Cranbrook, between Kimberley and Fernie, EKRH is a 75-bed regional referral centre for patients and smaller community hospitals throughout the designated health service area. EKRH offers physician specialties, 24-hour emergency and trauma services, acute medical and surgical care, obstetrical care, and lab services.
