Job description

The Band 5 role includes:

  1. Triaging patients using Manchester Triage.
  2. Maintaining the safety of patients waiting to be assessed.
  3. Working alongside Emergency Practitioners to deliver care.

We see on average 50-65 patients per day presenting with a range of conditions.

Cirencester Hospital has a dedicated Minor Injury & Illness Unit (MIiU) open 7 days a week. The post holder will be required to work a full range of shifts.

The service currently operates from 08:00 to 20:00.

As part of the Gloucestershire NHS, the unit offers diverse training opportunities and is committed to personal and service development. We also provide training with a preceptor to support the transition period and ongoing professional growth.
