Job description

IQVIA is recruiting for a Clinical Specialist in the West Midlands, primarily covering Birmingham hospitals in the field of joint medical devices.

In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining an existing customer base and developing sales in strategic accounts across several UK territories. You will become an integral part of the sales team by supporting several territory managers in servicing their customers and accounts.

Principal Accountabilities:
  1. Provide in-theatre support to consultants and nursing staff regarding the use of products for spinal surgery.
  2. Provide accurate information about all products and their indications (e.g., surgical techniques) to orthopaedic consultants and nursing staff.
  3. Deliver first-class service to customers, including training, stock checks, timely deliveries, and supporting theatre teams to ensure smooth operations.
  4. Assist in promoting and ensuring the correct use of our client's products through organized customer education meetings and training sessions.
  5. Develop business opportunities within the portfolio in Key Focus Accounts, communicate with the Territory Manager, and support successful conversion of these opportunities.
  6. Promote the use of spinal portfolio and services to Orthopaedic Surgeons and Theatre Staff.
Ideal Experience:
  1. Experience in orthopaedic surgery is essential.
  2. A solid understanding of the theatre environment is preferred but not essential.
  3. Clinical qualifications such as ODP, RGN, Physiotherapy, or a Science Graduate are desirable.
