Job summary

This role invites a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde team. In this position, you will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care programs, ensuring compliance with health regulations, and delivering exceptional care within the Gynaecology services. You will play a critical role in patient safety and support, demonstrating a commitment to high-quality health care services.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a valid NMC PIN.
  • Experience in Gynaecology services preferred.
  • Familiarity with Health & Safety policies essential.

Job description

NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. We deliver acute hospital, primary, community and mental health care services to a population of over 1.15 million and a wider population of 2.2 million when our regional and national services are included.

The shift pattern for this post is 12 hour sifts worked over any days Monday to Sunday including dayshifts and nightshifts.

Please note the salary is pro rata for part time hours.

Responsibility for the assessment of care needs, development of programmes of care and / or implementation and evaluation of these care programmes. Ensuring the delivery of high quality care to patients within the Gynaecology services.

Practice within legal and ethical framework as established by Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) and national legislation, policy, guidelines and procedures.

Work within the NHS GG&C, Health & Safety Policy and guidelines and Executive (HSE) legislation.

Adhere to the organisational Infection Control Policies and procedures and acts as a role model in maintenance of a safe environment.

Demonstrating care and compassion to patients, carers and relatives to help ensure high quality patient care is delivered at all times.

Co-operate with and maintain good relationships with colleagues and staff in other disciplines.

Maintain good relationships and an empathic approach to the patients, relatives and carers. Escalate observed changes in the patients physical and psychological needs. To maintain patient confidentiality and follow information governance policies and procedures.
