Job summary

Avery Healthcare Group is seeking a Bank Registered Nurse for Winchester Heights Care Home. The nurse acts as person in charge and delivers comprehensive nursing care, including medications, dressings, catheterisation and tube feeding, while supervising care staff.

You will conduct assessments, care planning and liaise with families and GPs, ensuring high standards and compliance with DBS and UK work-right requirements.

Qualifications

• NMC registration (UK) is required.
• Minimum 2 years' nursing experience.
• DBS check and right-to-work verification required.

Responsibilities

• Act as person in charge, standing in for the manager as required.
• Undertake nursing tasks including medication distribution, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advise residents' families and GPs of changes in condition and keep them involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Deploy and supervise care staff so that tasks are completed and residents receive the care they need.
• Carry out accurate assessment and care planning.
• Ensure high standards of care for residents.

Job description

Bank Registered Nurse post at Winchester Heights Care Home, part of Avery Healthcare Group's network of over 100 homes. The nurse acts as person in charge, standing in for the manager when needed, and runs nursing tasks such as medication, catheterisation and tube feeding while supervising care staff. Shifts run 0700 to 1930 or 1900 to 0730. NMC registration with at least two years' experience is required, along with a DBS check and proof of right to work.
