Job summary

Avery Healthcare is seeking a warm, enthusiastic Registered Nurse to join Bagshot Gardens Care Home in Bagshot, Surrey. You will act as person in charge when needed, ensuring high standards of resident care and compliance with instructions, while supporting a close-knit care team.

The role includes medication administration, wound care, catheter care, tube feeding, and chronic condition management, with responsibilities for staff deployment and care planning.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration (as required).
• Display good interpersonal skills and ability to instruct and demonstrate care activities.
• Demonstrate a sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Undertaking nursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advising families of residents and GPs of any changes in condition and keeping them informed for ongoing care.
• Supervision and deployment of care staff to ensure duties are completed and residents receive appropriate care.
• Provide high standards of care by accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilities will include:

• Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.

ABOUT YOU
