Job summary

Avery Healthcare is looking for a warm, dedicated Registered Nurse to join Winchester Heights Care Home in Winchester, Hampshire. You will act as person in charge when required and oversee care delivery to residents with compassion and professionalism.

In this role you will distribute medications, support families and GPs, supervise the care team, and contribute to high standards of care and thorough care planning. A strong NMC registration and two years' experience are expected.

Qualifications

• Hold a First Level qualification and current NMC Registration.
• Minimum 2 years' experience in care with post-basic knowledge.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to supervise care activities.
• Sound knowledge of care planning and its practical application.

Responsibilities

• Provide high standards of care and supervise staff on duty.
• Distribute medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding, and manage chronic conditions.
• Advise families and GPs of changes in residents' condition and keep them informed.
• Plan and assess care through accurate assessment and care planning.

We’re now looking for a warm, enthusiastic, and dedicated individual to join our award-winning team as a Registered Nurse at Winchester Heights Care Home in Winchester, Hampshire.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Your focus as aRegistered Nursewill beto act as person in charge,standingin for the Manager asrequiredandobserveall instructions to act upon his/her behalfwhilst youensurehigh standardsof care toourresidents.

Other responsibilitieswill include:

• Undertakingnursing tasks including distribution of medication, dressings, catheterisation, tube feeding and management of chronic medical conditions.
• Advisingfamilies of residents andGPsof any changes in condition, which gives rise to concern and keeps them informed and involved in choices for ongoing care.
• Responsibilityfor the effective deployment and supervision of staff within the care team, ensuring all tasks are completed during the period of duty and residents receive required care.
• Providing high standards of care by undertaking accurate assessment and planning.
