Job description

WCHS is searching for dedicated, caring individuals to join our team of highly qualified Registered Nurses in the hospital. Registered Nurses (RNs) provide outstanding patient care and physical support for patients on a daily basis and in a professional and compassionate manner. They are responsible for creating and/or maintaining accurate patient records, administering medication, monitoring side effects, recording vital signs, and reporting symptoms and changes in patient conditions.

Qualifications
  1. Valid Wyoming State Registered Nurse (RN) License
  2. Accredited Nursing Degree from an Accredited Nursing Program
  3. BLS and ACLS Certification
Responsibilities
  1. Delegates assignments and provides supervision for the support staff.
  2. Works with medical providers to ensure the quality of resident care.
  3. Submits incident/accident reports as required.
  4. Maintains accurate, complete health care records and reports.
  5. Administers medications to residents and monitors them for side effects and reactions.
  6. Prescribes assistive medical devices and related treatments.
  7. Records resident vital signs and medical information.
  8. Orders medical diagnostic and clinical tests as required.
  9. Monitors, reports, and records symptoms or changes in resident conditions.
  10. Administers non-intravenous medications as required.
  11. Assesses, implements, plans, or evaluates resident nursing care plans.
  12. Modifies resident health treatment plans as indicated by resident conditions and responses.
  13. Answers resident calls and determines the best course of action to support them.
  14. Provides physical support for residents with daily activities and personal hygiene, including bathing, dressing, getting in and out of bed, toileting, walking, standing, or exercising.
  15. Turning and repositioning bedridden residents as required.
  16. Ensures residents receive appropriate diet by reviewing dietary restrictions, food allergies, and preferences.
  17. Obtains a wide range of information regarding resident condition, treatment plans, and suggested activities as needed.
  18. Measures and records food and liquid intake and urinary and fecal output and reporting changes to medical or nursing staff.
  19. Examines residents to detect issues requiring medical care, including open wounds, bruises, or blood in urine.
  20. Reminds residents to take medication and nutritional supplements as required.
  21. Notes observations of resident behavior, including complaints or physical symptoms to nurses.
  22. Collects samples for lab testing as assigned.
  23. Provides emotional and psychological support when needed.
  24. Communicates with residents’ family to provide advice, comfort, and instructions as required.
  25. Coordinates with medical staff and other departments to ensure efficiency.
