Orchard Care Homes Ltd. in Eckington Court Nursing Home is expanding with a Registered Nurse role to lead a clinical team delivering person-centred care for residents with complex mental health needs.

You will develop care plans, supervise staff, liaise with families and professionals, and ensure NMC standards and Mental Capacity Act compliance, upholding Orchard’s Dementia Promise values. NMC registration required; DBS check provided.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
• Experienced in mental health care and person-centred planning.
• Strong knowledge of Mental Health Act, MCA, DoLS and safeguarding.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Warm, empathetic and professional approach.
• Ability to coach and develop colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Develop person-centred care plans and risk assessments.
• Lead the care team in delivering meaningful, empathetic support.
• Promote independence, choice and engagement for residents.
• Liaise with families, external professionals and multidisciplinary teams.
• Support best interest decisions in line with the Mental Capacity Act.
• Conduct supervisions, appraisals and coaching for staff.
• Ensure compliance with NMC standards and Orchard policies.

What You’ll Be Doing
