Job summary

Orchard Care Homes Ltd. is seeking a Senior Care Assistant in Eckington to lead and support the care team in delivering compassionate, person‑centred care.

You will supervise staff, assess needs, and develop care plans to ensure high standards of medical, physical, and emotional support for residents. The role requires Level 3 Health & Social Care, experience in elderly or dementia care, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Lead and support the care team to deliver high‑quality care.

• Ensure the home remains clean, safe, and welcoming.
• Promote dignity, independence, and choice for every resident.
• Participate in audits, inspections, and team meetings.

As a Senior Care Assistant, you’ll play a key leadership role within our care team. You’ll be responsible for assessing individual needs, developing person-centred care plans, and ensuring that medical, physical, and emotional support is delivered to the highest standard. You’ll also supervise and mentor care staff, helping them grow and maintain best practices.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading and supporting the care team to deliver high-quality care

• Qualified to Level 3 in Health & Social Care (essential)
